Molecular Diagnostics

Eastern Carolina Pathology provides access to the latest molecular technologies that give clinicians comprehensive diagnostic and prognostic information, enabling them to make more informed treatment decisions. Our molecular laboratory is a 5,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in Denver, Colorado and is led by Deborah Payne, Ph.D., D(ABMM), DABCC, FACB, an internationally-known molecular diagnostics proefessional.

  • Comprehensive test menu includes laboratory developed PCR tests, as well as third-party assays from Qiagen, Hologic, and Gen-Probe; as well as ISH and FISH testing

Deborah Payne, Ph.D. - VP of Molecular Services & Molecular Laboratory Director
Prior to joining us, Dr. Payne was Director of the Molecular Laboratory of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she was also Associate Professor of Pathology. Dr. Payne is an active speaker, well published, and an active member of numerous committees and industry organizations, including the NACB, IFCC, ABCC; and past voting member on the Molecular and Clinical Genetics Devices Panel of the FDA.
